Kuldeep Bains - Lead Vocal & Harmonium
Kuldeep Bains is the lead singer of the Australian Qawwal Party, bringing the timeless tradition of Sufi music to contemporary audiences with passion and authenticity.
Originally from India, Kuldeep began singing in Standard 7, deeply inspired by the legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, whose powerful voice and spiritual depth shaped his musical path.
Kuldeep’s journey into Qawwali began in earnest when he joined Tahir Qawwal in 2011, marking the beginning of his professional stage career. Over the years, he has captivated audiences across Australia and beyond with his dynamic vocals, heartfelt delivery, and devotion to the spiritual essence of Qawwali. He also had the honor of learning from Ustad Rahat Ali, the Lead harmonium player from the lineage of the legendary Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwal family.
A few years ago, Kuldeep founded the Australian Qawwal Party, where he continues to serve as the lead vocalist, performing at venues and cultural festivals throughout Australia. Under his leadership, the group has become a vibrant voice for South Asian spiritual music, preserving its roots while connecting with modern audiences.
Through his performances, Kuldeep strives to bridge cultures and generations — carrying forward the centuries-old tradition of Qawwali while infusing it with the energy, emotion, and devotion of contemporary expression. His voice embodies the spirit of love, unity, and divine connection that defines Qawwali, touching hearts wherever he performs.

Adarsh Sharma - Vocal & Harmonium
Adarsh Sharma comes from a strong musical background, having grown up in a family where devotional music and bhajans were an integral part of daily life and local mandali performances. His interest in music began in childhood, and he started playing the tabla and harmonium between the ages of 10 and 12. He pursued formal training in tabla at the Indian Cultural Center at 14, followed by harmonium and Indian classical music at 15 under the guidance of Guru Shri Vivekanand Ji.
Inspired by legendary musicians such as Zakir Hussain, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Adarsh has been performing consistently since his formative years. In 2024, he joined the Australian Qawwal Party as a second harmonium player and vocalist, where he continues to deepen his understanding of Qawwali, learning its nuances under the guidance of Kuldeep and fellow senior artists.
Surjit kumar - Vocal
Surjit Kumar is a passionate vocalist and an integral member of the Australian Qawall Party, known for his soulful voice and heartfelt performances. Music has been a part of Surjit’s life since childhood — a gift he proudly inherited from his father, who is also a talented singer.
Surjit’s journey into the world of qawalli began in 2016, when he performed his first qawalli alongside Tahir Qawall. That experience marked the beginning of a deep and ongoing musical and spiritual journey. Since then, Surjit has been dedicated to learning and perfecting the art of qawalli singing, immersing himself in its rhythms, poetry, and emotion.
What truly inspires Surjit is the spiritual power of qawalli, especially the timeless works of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, whose music awakened in him a profound sense of connection and devotion. Through every performance, Surjit aims to carry forward this legacy — touching hearts and uplifting souls through the sacred energy of qawalli.
Harsh - Vocal
Harsh( Harry) journey with Qawwali began at the age of ten, listening to the voice of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on repeat. What started as fascination turned into lifelong devotion to the art form’s power, poetry, and spiritual energy.
While trained on the guitar and drawn to modern sounds, Harry’s roots remain in Qawwali—the music that taught him emotion, discipline, and transcendence. For him, music isn’t an escape; it’s medicine. Every note, every rhythm is a reminder that art can heal, connect, and elevate beyond words.
Jayden Saeed - Vocal
Jayden Saaed has had a deep passion for music from a very young age, first developing his connection to sound through listening and immersion before formally pursuing it as a discipline. He is currently a student of the living legend Ustad Rahat Ali, the lead harmonium player for the nephews of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan — Ustad Rizwan, Muazzam, Mujahid, and Mubarak Ali Khan. Jayden’s introduction to Qawwali came through his father, spending long drives and quiet moments waiting in the car listening to Qawwali, experiences that shaped his emotional connection to the tradition and continue to influence his musical journey today.
